A late night rumor is floating around that UT received a committment from Mt. San Antonio C.C. QB Nick Lamaison (6'1-205). Lamaison was the QB that Orgeron was scouting when he discovered and got a commitment from LB Bruce Irvin at the same community college.
Last year Lamaison completed 66.7% of his passes for over 3,500 yards, 38 touchdowns and only seven interceptions. He is a redshirt freshman and considered the top JUCO QB in the nation. It is my understanding that he can leave anytime, making him eligible for the 2009 season. He has four years to play three if he signs by July 2009.
