Corey Cooper knows Kyle Prater as well as anyone. They live a few blocks apart, they are best friends, and they work out together. However, one obvious difference between the two is Cooper is commited to the University of Illinois and Prater isn't.However, when it's all said and done, Cooper thinks Prater ultimately winds up with him at Illinois.
"I just think at the end of the day he'll sign with U of I, "Cooper said at Bolingbrook's 7-on-7 competition on Saturday. "I honestly do."
Prater was also at Bolingbrook and had this to say about Cooper's prediciton.
"We talk about it," Prater said. "We try to keep that between ourselves."
Prater acknowledged that it would be great for the two to play together at Illinois, but he also had to think about his own best interests.
Another area recruit is Chandler Whitmer, who has commited to play QB at UI. Whitmer works out with Prater as well and is doing his best to keep the stud WR at home.
Prater currently has a top 4 of USC, Oklahoma, Alabama, and Illinois and has no timetable for an announcement.
