Lamarcus Joyner is the #2 cornerback in the nation and was the recruit with Lane Kiffin on "Outside the Lines." However according to Joyner, the VOLS are currently right outside his top 5.
The 5-foot-9 and 170-pound Joyner was a varsity starter his freshman, sophomore and junior seasons at Miami (Fla.) Southwest before transferring to St. Thomas Aquinas where he will play his senior season. Joyner shed some light on his recruitment in his weekly diary on Bucknuts.com.
On his scholarship offer situation.....
Every school across the country has offered except Oklahoma and Texas. USC, UCLA, Florida, Florida State, Ohio State, all the big-time schools have offered.
On if his top two are still Ohio State and Florida State.....
Ohio State and Florida State are definitely the top two, but USC is right under them. Ohio State and Florida State - it's going to be neck-and-neck. It's like running the 100-meters and both guys are doing a 10.1, somebody has to run faster. It's going to be tough there.
On when he will visit Ohio State again.....
I plan on taking an official visit when they play USC. I'm looking forward to it. I can't wait. My main goal is to take official visits to Ohio State, Florida State, USC, Alabama and maybe squeeze in Tennessee. I have Georgia in front of Tennessee, but I'd rather take the official visit to Tennessee.
