After making a name for himself last week at UT's skills camp, New Orleans, LA cornerback Tyrann Mathieu thinks that a UT offer is on the way. Apparently Mathieu has a connection to one of the coaches on the staff and loved what he seen while in Knoxville.
“I have known Coach Frank (Wilson) for over three years,” Mathieu said. “We have a great relationship, he is the type coach I would love to play for. He makes me feel like family, I feel at home on the Tennessee campus.”
So where does UT rank on the cornerback's list?
“Tennessee is definitely No. 1 for me right now,” Mathieu said. “I love everything about their program, their coaching staff and feel it would be a great place to go to school.”
Does Mathieu think UT will offer?
“I was told I should have one by the end of the week, I’m hoping for one that’s for sure," says Mathieu.
