Former Miami QB down to Tennessee and Purdue

As of Friday morning, Marve had yet to name the school to which he will transfer. However, most people still feel that the QB will walk on at UT rather than take a scholarship to Purdue. He would only pay his own way for one year at UT and would be offered a scholarship next season. People in Knoxville claim Marve was in town touring the campus earlier this week, even more evidence that he picks UT.

The following is from ESPN.com
Sources familiar with Marve's situation told ESPN.com that the quarterback is considering joining Tennessee as a walk-on rather than accepting a scholarship offer at Purdue.
Marve's father, Eugene, told me this morning that Robert had narrowed his list of choices to two teams but declined to name them. Eugene Marve said Robert likely will make his selection Friday or sometime next week. Robert Marve can take one more official visit, though he doesn't have any imminent plans to do so.

"There's a team that was thrown in, that we started investigating late and trying to get that information and put it against all the factors," Eugene Marve said. "That's the basic deal."

According to sources, that team is Tennessee.
